[4th Week]–Singapore

Today is Saturday on the 19/3/2011. When I am writing this post, it was 2:33PM as shown on my laptop. Time passed flying. It was my 4th week of stayed in Singapore. My stay in Singapore shall continue on counting.

I thought to wake up very early morning to jog at my area but when the time I woke up it was already 9am. I got my clothes washed and stayed in room for awhile until 10.30pm then only I went out to have my brunch. After that, I bought oranges, carrots and newspaper.

I took my bath and continue staying at room. I am in front of the laptop since then.

How to Say Thanks After an Interview

For job candidates seeking an edge, sending interviewers a customized thank-you is critical. Recruiters estimate that most candidates make the effort to send thank-yous, but only half go the extra mile to customize them for the job they’re seeking.

If you’re interviewing with several employers, check that each thank-you shows the correct company and recruiter name. After all, you don’t want to accidentally send a thank-you addressed to, say, the company’s competitor.

It’s also important to be specific and show off your listening skills. If you discussed a particular trend or issue with the interviewer, mention it again in your thank-you or even include a link to a recent news story on the subject. This will show that you focused on what was going on during the interview and that you are serious about the opportunity.

Try tapping into the employer’s culture. For example, a candidate for a job at Coca-Cola Co. signed his thank-you with the company slogan, “Have a Sweet Day.” But no matter how laid-back an employer seems, keep your thank-you professional. Thank-yous with slang or funky spelling are unlikely to impress. Expressing some individuality is OK, but what an employer primarily wants to see is that the candidate knows proper business etiquette.

It’s also important to write a thank-you to every executive you meet with during the interview process. Each letter should speak to your particular interaction with that person, particularly as executives may share your letters with one another. Think back to the topics discussed during each interview. You might say that it was really interesting to learn about a particular client or reference a similarity in your backgrounds that came up. In terms of the actual form of the thank-you, most recruiters agree that a paper, snail-mail thank-you is no longer required. Personalized, concise emails are just fine, provided they follow a few simple rules.

Avoid being too casual when it comes to communicating about career opportunities in cyberspace and on mobile devices. Don’t send emails that contain shorthand language or decorative symbols. Likewise, refrain from sending hasty and poorly thought-out messages to and from mobile devices. Rather, a standard email gives hiring managers the sense that you sat down at your computer in a thoughtful way to follow up. Further, it’s also inappropriate to try and thank interviewers on social-networking sites like Facebook and MySpace, as is making a friend request. Interviewers are not candidates’ friends and making such a gesture suggests a lack of professionalism.

To be sure, employers themselves are blurring the lines to some extent by using mobile and Web technology for recruiting. But when it comes to saying thanks, career experts recommend going the traditional route by using email to send interviewers a professional, concise and personalized note of appreciation.

Tips

Personalize your thank-you with specific references to issues you discussed in the interview.
Send each interviewer you spoke with a thank-you, but be sure they are individualized notes.

On her second round of interviews for an editorial job in Chicago, Jess Wangsness was asked: If you could be a giraffe without a neck or an elephant without a trunk, which would you choose and why?

"Even though none of it had anything to do with the job, we had a fairly animated conversation about elephant behavior," Ms. Wangsness says. She didn't get the job but still wonders about the question. "Perhaps employers simply like to gauge just how interesting their candidates really are?" she says.

Regardless of how offbeat some interview questions may sound, most employers have their own hidden reasons for asking them. Usually, such queries are a way to uncover information about you that standard interview questions don't suss out. And whether the goal is to gauge your leadership aptitude or test your ability to handle stress, experts say you should stay composed and answer concisely.

The way you react to a question or work through an answer can actually score more points with the interviewer than the answer you give.
Analyze This

Trick questions can help companies slim down a big pool of applicants, says Victor Cheng, a business coach in Bainbridge Island, Wash. His website, CaseInterview.com, offers tips for passing the type of intense problem-solving interviews used by consulting companies.

A typical question Mr. Cheng would ask job applicants: How long does it take to move an average-sized mountain a mile? There's no right or wrong answer; displaying a thoughtful and coherent process for solving the problem (or answering the question) is the point interviewers are judging.

Companies in a variety of industries have applied similar brain-twisting methodologies to their hiring practices. "Investment banks tend to ask odd questions that don't have answers as a way to test your grace under pressure. Software companies like Google or Microsoft will throw in puzzles or riddles to see how creatively you can solve things," says Mr. Cheng.

The key to finding a good answer is to systematically break the question down, making assumptions where needed to fill gaps of information. If you can see no clear way to deconstruct an answer, make your best guess and try to appear confident about your response.
Do Your Homework

Memorizing facts about the company isn't enough to impress interviewers. Research the company, the industry and, most importantly, the workplace culture and extrapolate what creative questions could be used to assess your competence. An advertising agency that specializes in social media, for example, may ask you what the most profitable crop to grow is in Farmville, a popular Facebook game, to see how familiar you are with the different social-networking services.

Even law-enforcement agencies will use unconventional questions to weed out undesirable candidates. When author Joe Navarro worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, he would ask job applicants how many bumper stickers they had on their cars. "The more they have, the more rigid and stubborn they tend to be," he says. "It gives insight into beliefs and rigidity."

Whatever you do, try not to put the interviewer on the defensive, says Linda Konstan, principal at Denver-based Sensible Human Resources Consulting. "This is their way of getting to know you. Going off track isn't necessarily inappropriate," she says.

Should you stay or should you go? There’s no surefire sign that it’s time to look for greener professional pastures. But there are a few clear reasons that could signal it’s time to change jobs.

First, ask yourself if there is a culture clash. Is your entrepreneurial nature always at odds with the collaborative style of your co-workers? Do you need a social, mobile work environment to keep your creative juices flowing, while your office is neatly divided up into closed office spaces? A company’s core culture isn’t likely to change over night, so if you’re not happy, it might be time to look elsewhere.

Another sign that a job change might be in order is a lack of performance-based rewards. Maybe you’ve received the standard raise yet again, but weren’t awarded a new title. Or you consistently exceed the limits of a company’s bonus structure. Most employees need incentives and rewards to feel valued, and if you’re not getting them, it might be time to dust off that résumé.

Signs of financial stress at your company are another red flag. If vendors are starting to complain about late payments, or one of your own paychecks bounces (or you hear that a coworker’s did), you may want to proactively protect yourself by launching a job search.

If you decide that it is indeed time to quit and move on, take care when breaking the news to your boss. A poorly executed resignation could come back to haunt you. There may be a time when you need a referral from him or her to help you land a new job. And even after you quit, a merger could potentially reunite you with your former supervisor.

Set up a meeting to announce your plans to quit at least two weeks in advance of your departure. Share the news immediately rather than dance around the subject. Tell your boss you have enjoyed working at the company but don’t want to pass up a new, compelling opportunity. Emphasize the lure of the new job rather than the flaws of the old one. Other good reasons to give for leaving include the chance to gain more responsibility, make a bigger impact on an organization or learn new skills.

Tips

Watch for signs of financial stress at your company, or signs that rewards might be curtailed in the near future.
Try to figure out if your uncertainty is due to a culture clash between your style and the corporate culture. If it is, it might be time to move on.

(2nd Day) August 21 2010 (Saturday) – Breakfast @ Ipoh, Old folk home, Porridge @ Pusing, 民众酒家。

(3rd Day) August 22 2010 (Sunday) – Breakfast @ Menglembu for Dim Sum, Wang Lee Hom (王力宏) 十八般武艺 Album Showcase 2010.

First day,

I was working from 9am to 5pm. After work I went to lower skyway took bus to Putra Gombak for 45 minutes. From there I took LRT to Masjid Jamek to changed lane headed to Sri Petaling LRT station. My girlfriend waited me at BTR (Bandar Tun Razak). We met each other there and then we went to Bukit Jalil. We took a cab from there to my house. I had my bath and went to MacDonald to had our dinner. At 9.15pm, we start our journey to hometown at Ipoh. We reached hometown around 12am.

Second day,

we woke up and had breakfast at Ipoh together with my popo, cousin, parent and my girlfriend. After breakfast, we went to visit one relative, father’s mother brother at old folk home at Ipoh. After that, we went to the “under the huge tree” where to had yong tou fu. Then, we went to Pusing to had porridge. I fetched them home then we went Batu Gajah to had my hair cut. After that, we back home and took a rest. At night, we went to Ipoh to had dinner with my uncle for his birthday. After that, we went back home.

Third day,

Though, it was our second day of stayed at hometown in Bemban.Time passed just too fast, we were too busy and hardly had free time to enjoy ourselves. We had to go back to Kuala Lumpur today to catch up with the Lee Hom 十八般武艺 album showcase at One Utama shopping mall. In the morning, we went to Menglembu had dim sum for our breakfast. Then, we went to Ipoh for White Coffee where first kopitiam introduced white coffee in M’sia. Then, we headed back to home and getting ready to leave for Kuala Lumpur.We left at 12.30pm, brought lunch who my popo cooked for my cousin who opened a car workshop at 4km. We dropped by there for half an hour and headed to Kuala Lumpur. We arrived home in Kuala Lumpur at around 3pm. Took bath and went to One Utama shopping mall.

我看见老人家，突然想起了他。很多老人家，好像每个都是他。

感觉……酸痛、以为是、期待、恐怖……

我好后悔，也无助，因为已没有机会了。

脑海里浮现他的回忆，甜美带酸。

好像在听到他的声音。

外公过世了

外公过身了。

星期日，傍晚七时。

我的手提电话响，是表弟的来电，我接了。

我听见婆婆的声音，她告诉我说“快点回家乡，因为公公不能了”。我呆了会儿，我说“好”。之后，我就接到妈妈传给我的短讯，“急事，请回电”。我呼叫，然后就回去了。

途中，有好多东西在我的脑海不断地重复。我不敢去多想，也不想去理会。我知道逃避不是解决的方法，但是我无选择。很快地到达了家，然后就去冲凉。收拾了几件衣服就开车同和爸爸一起回家乡。

回家乡的途中，都如什么事也没发生。

回到家后，我很害怕，我害怕面对，我不能接受事实。我慢慢的走进屋里，看见公公躺在床上，心很酸疼。我做不了什么。他躺在病床上，更瘦了，瘦得……让人见到心就揪住。

我说：“公公，公公，我回来了”。我看见他一口一口的呼吸，不能说话的样子。这一幕幕的场景，只让我的心痛更痛，痛进心里。我们不断地说话给他听，看见他的嘴巴，好像说了些东西，可是却听不到。看见他的眼睛有泪光，他不舍得，我们也是。

我抵达家乡是十一点十五分(11:15pm)左右，半个小时之后他就离世了。十一点四十分(11:40pm)左右，他的一口一口的呼吸停顿了。在他断气的之前，他上身颤抖了一会儿和大大呼吸。看见他第一次和第二次做完之后，就断气了。

婆婆、他的儿子女儿、孙（表弟）和外孙（我），一起送他最后的路程。两个孙（表哥、表姐），还在巴士上从新加坡回着来。

从此这一刻，一切会改变。

然后，我们就开始准备工作为公公整理房间等等工作。

It's time to say goodbye. I'm so upset, because i should have done more than I could provide, I should be visit you more frequent as possible, should get the foods that you like and could get from your place.

I remember the day you brought me together with you to rubber plantation to help you, catch cockroach to feed the birds, catch birds, went to lake side gathered water into the bucket where house has no water.

You asked me help you, I alway did. We did things together, I hope we remember these as part of our journey and memory, and time we spent together. I will never forget all we had gone through.

You are hardworking, patient, loving and soft-spoken. Love everyone. You never beaten me, that is something very special about you. You collected many memories in your room. You appreciate every single things we gave and I can see from happy face. I felt very warmed when i saw it. But I never really give you something that even such a little things to make you happy. A little that i gave, i know is not enough for so many years.

You alway told me, don't waste. Things are valueless, you still keep it like a treasure. And now, i know what it mean. I miss a point and i understand now. Just like you, you are something that money can't buy. I should treasure you. Should treat you good. Now you are left, I am so regretted.

From this moment, my life never be the same. I will not forget you because you are someone special to me. You are no.1 in my life.

I hope you found a comfort place, and rest in peace.

15+ years of schooling and colleging has been past. As I was looking back, time is ticking really thrilling fast.

2 yrs of kindegarden. Graduated in a small village. Grandmom & Grandpa alway accopany me to kindegarden. Didn't miss a day~ :) Thank you. My kau fu (uncle) always beaten me with rotan(I am not naughty but still kena rotan always). but he is good la... train me more guai though i oredi guai enough. :)

6 yrs of primary school. Studied in 3 different school geographically scattered including one oversea.
Never had a chance to acknowledge and thank you to a special one who is my class teacher of standard 5 & 6. She has been pouring out her heart in hoping that we will excel in our school works. Relentless pursue, never giving up for us, though we were the last class in the school. Mrs. Low. Something special needed to address about her. She has helped me to register for Secondary school on the last day of the registration openning for primary student. if not i'm schooless jok... :( (not so severe actually, maybe go some school not so good reputation only la) :)

Another 6 yrs spent in Secondary school including remove class. Enrolled in 3 different secondary schools.
I failed my Malay, needed to attend remove class. Daxx.. Supposely a bad thing, but life in that particular year was my happiest moment during my secondary school. Cycling from uptown to downtown back and fourth, crossing bridgesss, overcoming rain together with my bicycle, challeging cars and motobike with my bicycle, Cycling few km to school, lumba bicycle after school (for fun la, not real one), cyber cafe(HL, CS, Starcraft, ....), being a sandwich in the public buses... what else ar..?? I think these was what i can remember so far about my wei sui things in remove and form 1.
Form 1 to form 2 miserable yrs. 8am out from home 8pm back to house. private tuition, this no good that no good.. haiz.. sigh~~ is all over now.. yeah~~
Form 3, 4, 5. -
3 - still okay. climbing up the stair, finding the lost soul, building up network, normalising life
4 - Got 3As for my PMR, haha~~ and became a science class student. miss few months of school due to health issue. This yrs past like didn't past. no memory at all. Like database system, suddenly lost all data for that particular year.. haha~~ good example, right. hmm. ;0
5 - Catching up, working up, take and give, forgive and forgo, restoring, recovering, healing,... got 1,2,3 in class (count from behind). :) Found something and lost it now as in now loh.. ;) . :) :) What can i say, maybe life already planned... not in my controlled. Never wanted to control my destiny and fate. :) my life already planned jok geh.. wakaka~~ haha~~

Ohhhh.... again, another 4 yrs in college. ;) Yeah.. these four years are something very different because we had our own transport. i dun have la but most of my fren do. :) Tumbang their car, go north, south, east, and west. Never a day bore bore... (sometimes quite bore coz dunno go where) haha~~
nothing really special for college life la... everything remain the same like school got exam, test, and assignment.... (last time A to E and now 1-15)..... except dai gou chai/lui jok, got own transport loh(even i dun have, fren do.. haha), no tight-up schedule like school 745-1pm (more time meaning more freedom), yam cha and yam cha more often than before, last-minute assignment (1 mnths duration but most students used 1 week gao tim(complete) indirectly shown students is has the capability and capacity to fullfil assignment requirement in short period of time.), what else ar... keke~~~ dunno oooo.... one last things, college very cosy and costly. PTPTN loan helped me, if not die hard jok. :) Thank you PTPTN loan. haha~~

At this point of time I am writing this, i already worked for 1 and half month liao... Day day work, week week work, month month work, i afraid i lost my schooling and colleging memories. So better write something now... not so structure but at least i can recall back. :)

Bedtime, tomorrow need to da jiong jok (work). ;)

There is time where situation which is not in your area of control. You definitely feel bad about it. Nevertheless, life still have to go on.

Do not be so overwhelm by the problem which has no solution. Sometimes, solution will come to you by any mean.

Is good that you have problems. It doesn't matter how hopeless the situation be. Just carry on your life and enjoy the experience of having problems in life. It will certainly help you. It helps you to grow in maturity. Do not feel bad about yourself that other people are saying that you are naive. You know you are going through a period of difficulties, certainly you are growing in maturity.

Always ready for challenges, take it and handle it wisely and smartly.

Life is great, time won't wait. Enjoy and go on life with full of hope and confidence. :)

Online business (small business like comic rental store, petshop, and etc. may host online services to increase competitive advantage), online applications (office suite, anti-virus, game), cloud computing?, collaboration/integration/combination/(anything in one place) and etc.

Significant Event
Desktop sale is slowing down.
Laptop/Notebook/Netbook/Mobile Computer enjoys sale growth.
Mobile phone sale is showing sign of booming. Competition is heating up, when more competition, it also mean cheaper and more features. Like iPhone sells its product like sky-rocketing and surprisingly, Blackberry did even better.
Cloud Computing introduced last year. We dunno what is it, never mind. Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 already existed today, have u ever noticed?
Internet Giant, Google dominating the Internet market. I think Google is and will be the leader in changing the Internet/Online environment. Their products is really good, idea is reachable, influence-maker and etc.
WiMax technology introduced, pushing accessible anywhere and anytime. Internet access environment-friendly. If this success, how do u deny not to go online when everyone does.
Facebook, Twitter. Popularity??? ernomous.

Old friends, old time

On the Friday, I received a strange call. She addressed her name but I hardly recall. In the conversation, I trying to clarify as much as information I could to avoid any misunderstood. Finally, I came to a realized it was an old classmate from primary school.

I'd been invited for a gathering tonight. I so much so wanted to go but I really got a planned for 2nite . I told her will be confirmed later by today.

In the night, I finished up everything and give them a call, saying that I will be coming very late and i did attended for the gathering at "Cola Cafe" at Jalan Genting Klang.

It was 6 of us who turned out. I was surprised and shocked because I really can't recall most of them. Anyhow, it is a good one finally we met up for a long long times. It's been ten (10) years, we have not had a chance but this time is really different.

All stuffs that has been stored in my memory were unearth bit by bit. It is something really got me cheer up.

I noticed all my contacts were deleted except one person and my email's "Vacation reply" was on.

9th Day of the Year of Chinese Lunar Calendar

It was past 12am, it is also the 9th day of the Chinese lunar calendar, and it is also a ‘big’ day for the Hokkien Lang (people). The sound of the fireworks has not been silence since 12am. I was sitting in front of the laptop hearing the so called ‘music’ playing repeatedly.

I hope that I could join them for the celebration. It looks just too tempting, the fireworks playing non-stop. :)

As time goes by which mean I am growing older, this kind of celebration is just getting less and less involve. I remember when I was a kid and a teen, I used to have a group of friends that we will meet up and go to each friend’s house, gathered with their family during Chinese New Year. In one way you may say, the purpose may not just greet but is to get more ang pow. (That’s right!!!, I totally agreed.) ;) On the other hand, I think it is good that we go to our friend’s house to gather with their family to received ‘blessing’ (ang pow), because it shown that we remembered them. and yet it is also part of our culture. :)

I miss out all the funniest thing in my teen life, time will not go backward. Therefore, I will try to available myself in the future so that I won’t miss out the fun in life as I am heading to my adulthood. :)

Cheer, life is still bright even without the funniest stuffs. :)

Being a final year student, I do not see any significant changes of myself. The most noticeable changes is that I am getting more worry than before because I am getting closer to working life and yet there are more. Stressful is always but is even stressful now as there are projects and exams ahead.

There is a "burung" which I didn't noticed. As I walking to the mamak, suddely I felt a drop of water fell on my head. I thought it was air-cond water but then as I looked up I didn't see any air cond above. The only I saw is a bird standing there with his head inside and butt outside.

I am expiring every second, minute, hour, day, month, years and ...

I would never know what is gonna to happened next, all I know is current things that affecting me. As I look back into my life, I do see the happiest time and the saddest time, I have a gathering among with groups of friends for a common purpose and share the uncommon things, I remember the day we used to have bicycle race, I remember I was being kick out of the team becuse of my commitment, I could felt the silence because there is a major change goin to taken in my life, Remember the day where I used to ride my bicycle around, though most of the time is the only who ride from uptown to downtown but I treasure the time i given to myself, I remember every weekend I use to go to KL to find some old friends, as time past, things changes where i longer use to travel back and now I miss them. I remember the day where I once again felt the emptiness and the loneliness where nowhere I could go and I could do is hiding at the corner of the empty shop lots battling with my thoughts and feeling, I felt the tough time and struggle with family and relatives, exam, relationship, emotion, and is an ongoing battle until now.

There are more I could feel now but just that I have no time because i need to go out mamak alone again, I used to be alone and myself being the one who affecting my life and the role model always is myself. haha~~ mamak time lo..

The story of my past I could summarized to "MYSELF".

However, I do renewal with every second, minute, hour, day, month, years and ... right after expired.

I am always hoping to see the gray days astray and bright and sunny day take control over it. However, thought and reality always does not agreed to each other. The battle has been long and a high momentum, I no longer scare to face the next renewable. I am tire and throughout the battle and now i feeling more exhausted than ever.

The story of my unpredictable future, I could summarized atm is "Hoping to see tomorrow is a better day".

Insect in the bathroom

This morning as I entered the bathroom, I saw one weird things on the wall. As I take a good look, it was a weird insect in the bathroom. I've no idea how it entered my bathroom. I am staying at 6 floors of the aparment.

I am not sure whether it can fly up to six floor or not. If it does, that's mean it came in from the window. If not surely it crawl floor by floor.

So many units here in this Apartment, why must it came to my unit. Is there a sign of something?

How well can a human control their emotion? The question is can we?

Who the h is HUMAN? Why life is full of colourness. Would it better that the human understand just black and white, just like computer which understood 1s and 0s. Are we the human really clever than a computer? How do you measure your cleverness.?

Sometimes, we think we are but aren't we. We believe in what we believe in but aren't we. We thought we really eat salt more than rice. Who d h do you think you are? You have broken the heart of the soul. Who the h do you think you are?

Respect the elder? If you are a drug addict and today you have totally cut off and contribute to the community, I would not only give respect but I will bow and solute you. I am now in the middle of night, I had just discovered how to search. Even I am way behind of other fellow classmate. Nevertheless, I managed to solve the problem on myself. It was such a big relieve.

Today, I am all day pressure. Now, I am able to take a breath of fresh air(even I am now in air-cond. room... lol... ) :)

Your personally attitude is terrible because you talk as you like without taking caution what has came out from you mouth. Your mouth full of chilies and lemon. Without black and white does not mean you can talk whatever you like. You think is okay. I tell you is not okay. Choosing a word and talking without consideration is failure of a person because selection of word determine your relationship.

You talk cock, people will treat you like cock. You talk nice, people will treat you nice. If you does not know, stop act like you know everything. Don't believe, try it.

With you, life is miserable and sad. Closest one is being bullied and you will never noticed because your eye being blinded by the world. I deeply saddened by this teaching, I am denied to this concept because I do not want my closest one to struggle, I failed and failed again but I always reminded myself not being like you because you no longer and never being the role model I wanted.

So much more to say!

God is right! He is the beginning and the end. I truly believed. When this implication apply to life, it another story!

Where does the problem started? Who started it? God created everything perfect and right! I am thinking, who fault? We all are faulty to be in the scenario. I am saddened with the beginner. Please do not get me wrong, I am not talking about God. I am talking a man! A man who open the mouth and talk and has never walk the talk. A man who discourage someone to serve God because is not yet time. This is a very stupid thing out from his mouth. Who could be greater than God? Problem, Struggle, Financial, Relationship? Who is greater than those? A man could overcome all problem, finance, relationship? When all this negative things like problem, financial, relationship met our life, who could we turn to? Cigarette or alcohol or maybe drug? For year, this word has never been remove from memory. No way, because I think he said something very wrong. Once a great believer of Jesus, has put his life to Him and decided to look forward for the end of the day because the world has no meant for him. His statement really bring a great hatred unto him. Worst of all, he never realised it.

A man with so many idea of using other to benefit himself. God Loves the world so much and He gave his only son to sacrifice for our sin. Yes! Perfect. This is so meant to him even until today. Not like a man who only used other to benefit himself. He will used whatever word that sound nice and tempted to lure you into his plan. Hmmm... This man never spoken about it even until today regard the thing! How would I define this man. Let me tell you, irresponsible, cover-up and running away. You know why I defined this, because his initial plan failed. If you want me to fully expressed my feeling, I will give a F word. A big, huge and nicely decorated with colour F!

Saddest of all, he only talk and no act. He only command and never serve. He is a "big MAN". "Big man" mean that he is right and no one is right. That is why so many "people" cannot get along with him especially his closest one. The closest one has no admitted his existence, still he blame them for wrongdoing. I am determined and believed this man is wrong. Totally wrong. U know why, because he is the started of the fault, the one who started the root of problem. If he never made his moved, I will never existed.

Please give me peace of mind and a calm heart. I need a comforter, I need support. Self-Generator of support, hope, calm, comfort, peace, and courage is not function. Either give me those word or repair my self-generator of word. PLEASE...

There are 6 different types of fishes inside the aquarium. Two pairs and 4 single fishes. Those 4 single fishes actually they are come with friends. Unfortunately, There friends had lost.

The latest fishes I bought from Pet World in Mid Valley.

This fishes is locked up in a small aquarium. I put into the big aquarium, hopefully next time I release it out from the small tank. It can get along with others.

Global warming is likely to disproportionately harm the health of children, and politicians should launch "aggressive policies" to curb climate change, the American Academy of Pediatrics said today.

In the first major report about the unique effects of global warming on kids, U.S. pediatricians also were advised to "educate" elected officials about the coming dangers.

There's evidence that children are likely to suffer more than adults from climate change, says the report's lead author, Katherine Shea, a pediatrician and adjunct public health professor at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

"We already have change, and certain bad things are going to happen no matter what we do," Shea says. "But we can prevent things from getting even worse. We don't have the luxury of waiting."

More greenhouse gases and a warming Earth will leave children particularly vulnerable in several ways, the report says:

•Air pollution does more damage to children's lungs, causing asthma and respiratory ailments, because their lungs are still developing, they breathe at a higher rate than adults and are outdoors more.

•Waterborne infections, such as diarrhea and other gastrointestinal problems, hit children especially hard. These infections rise sharply with more rain, which is expected as the climate warms.

•As mosquitoes are able to move to higher ground, the malaria zone is expanding. Kids are especially vulnerable; 75% of malaria deaths occur in children younger than 5.

The report briefly mentions that mass migrations are expected as regions become uninhabitable. "Children fare very poorly in these major population shifts," says Irwin Redlener, director of the National Center for Disaster Preparedness at Columbia University and president of the Children's Health Fund. "They're more fragile medically and nutritionally," says Redlener, who wasn't involved with the report. "They're less resilient, less likely to survive."

No matter what the risks, the pediatrics academy shouldn't be sending its members out to lobby, argues Janice Crouse, director of a think tank affiliated with Concerned Women for America, a conservative public policy group. "Let them issue a scientific report, and people can judge whether it has validity. For a scientific group to use children as a means of advancing a political agenda is beyond the pale," she says.

Julie Gerberding, director of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, briefed a Senate committee on the health risks of global warming last week. She mentioned increasing asthma, malaria and waterborne diseases but not children's vulnerability.

The Associated Press reported that Gerberding's speech was "eviscerated" by the White House, but CDC spokesman Tom Skinner denied it, adding that Gerberding said everything she wanted to say without constraint.

"This is not a political issue, it's a public health issue," Shea says. "If we know the health of children and future children is threatened, we have an obligation to act."

Today i had my breakfast with lao po. After that, we went back. Haha~~ late already~~ our leader said, today late 8.38 already!! Not a problem~~ We just written there 8.38 sign in.
Nothing special except got one customer very high tempo! He had the intention of throwing out every word from his mouth. :( He just look ugly and lack of moral.. haha~~ Sometimes i do that too... In the mean time, I got a technical problem with my CISCO phone, two calls coming in at the same time, which would not be happen during the normal operation. Never mind, I pass my call to my senior college after being scold.!~
After 5pm, I do the data entry. Suppose 5.30 should sign out but today because there is many order forms to be log so leader ask me to stay late to do the logging and would pay us OT. YES!! OT... First time experience OT. Of coz I put extra effort for that. From 5pm to 8pm, I got a total of 5 order forms done. It look very little but is very time consuming.
At 8pm, I went to back to Bukit Jalil as i park my car there. I drove to Cheras to meet my lao po have dinner. We are like driving the car from one place to another just to find a place to eat. Today is the day of lantern. In leisure mall, there are many lantern is hanged in the middle of the air for displaying. All these are made from customer, look nice but not really simple. There is nothing worth eating so we went to a normal food court which we went before. After dinner, we went home~~
Though, is a long working day for me, I dun feel tire instead i feel fullfillment. Anyway, I getting tire now, 2molo new challeges is coming... Wish me All The Best~~

The First Day of the Second Week... Light Raindrop

As usual, today i woke up very early in the morning to prepare to take bus and go to work. Although it may seem to be very tire... but I dun feel it instead I looking forward everyday. I dunno why but it just keep me going...
Normally, I would be very lazy to wake up early go to classes in college.

Well, I went to office taken a cup of nescafe and went back to my desk to do my work. Today my ID is already approved from the India branch and starting from today I can use my own ID to login to the computer. Today, suppose i got to do the receiving the inbound call. Due to lack of telephone, my ID wasn't register yet with the CAD. So, today one of the permanent stuff, submit my ID to the branch in Shanghai for approval. The process indeed looks confusing but is the normal practice for them.

I did a few outbound calls. Indeed, is a totally different eXperience. I successful close few deal with customer but still fail one deal.

Upon ID approval, I were told to attempt for some inbound call. haha~~ Believe it anot... I found it very excited... :) There are customers who have question-minded, ask many many question. There are customer who are straight forward, straight to the point. Customer is just so funny sometimes... :) The calls is none stop, once it end another is in.

We are "The Salt of the Earth" and "The Light of the World"

God wants the salt of the earth to be preserved/protected the saltiness before present/place/position the light of the world to shine.

When the first time, I came out from the water. I have the saltiness. I always have a heart to help other people even before I came out from water. I'm hoping that He will use me to bring more people into salvation and helping the poor. I been very activate in exposing the saltiness to the world until I forgotten retreat even other had told me! However, this determination of heart have been weaken when time pass and eventually it drown!!!

I always thought that the saltiness in me would last for longer period and not that short. It just happened in and after a decision. The world seem to have change. The raining season is more another creation is just a bad day. The sun no longer remain me he is angry instead I'm blaming why is so hot. The moon no longer noticeable even it appeared. Tree and flower has no more attraction because I wouldn't see them with my sight. Song I usually like to sing is no longer my favorite. There is colour but colour with grey and white.

I'm hoping so much I would return in some day and some time in my life! I would keep my faith unto Him even though my world seem to fade away!

Last day of exam, finished diploma, and two years in college life had past! Time passes like light!

I had a three exams this week that were Multimedia Technology, Operating System, and Computerised Accounting System. All okay!

Multimedia is okay!

Operating System is okay!

Computerised Accounting System is more than okay!

Not putting so much of effort, lacking of stability and consistency throughout the semester. Hm mm... I wish I got a heart that enthusiasm for studying!

Wow... I wish I could holding on to the time. I wish the time will slow down that give us peace and not competing. Everyday, I compete. Competing for a goal! A goal that will left behind after all. Where am I heading to...? Why am I heading to...?

Living in this world is getting "excited". I am excited about the world is going green, going recycle, going high tech, going materials, going more & more $$$.

Malaysia fury at EU envoy remarks

Europe's top diplomat in Malaysia has been summoned by the foreign ministry to discuss criticisms he made about policies favouring ethnic Malays.

Thierry Rommel, head of the European Commission delegation in the country, was accused of meddling in Malaysia's internal affairs.

In a speech last week, Mr Rommel said that the policies amounted to discrimination and protectionism.

Malaysian politicians reacted furiously to his remarks.

Mr Rommel described his 45-minute meeting with a senior foreign ministry official as "a useful exchange of views", and he hoped that it had resolved any misunderstanding.

Privileges

The envoy accused Malaysia last week of denying foreign companies a level playing field - remarks which one government minister labelled "arrogant and extreme".

Mr Rommel called Malaysia's affirmative action policies a deterrent to both investment and free-trade deals - like the one Malaysia hopes to strike with the European Union.

He said that the policies - once intended as a means of reducing poverty amongst Malays by giving them privileges over Malaysians of Chinese and Indian descent - were now an excuse for "significant protectionism".

Correspondents say some foreign companies have complained that rules forcing them to take on ethnic Malays as business partners open the door to corruption.

Malaysian leaders were angry at Mr Rommel's remarks, with Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak saying the comments could be "construed as trying to interfere in the internal administration of the country".

But Mr Rommel insisted over the weekend that this was not his intention.

The veteran leader of Malaysia's parliamentary opposition, Lim Kit Siang, said that the government should justify giving state aid according to race, rather than accusing Mr Rommel of not having the facts right.

Malaysia's continued use of race as a test for business and social welfare has proved an obstacle in trade talks with the US, and is likely to be no less controversial in Europe, the BBC's Jonathan Kent in Kuala Lumpur says.

Dell replaces displays on nine laptop models

Annoyed users created a Web site to publicize the flawed screens

June 20, 2007 (IDG News Service) -- Dell Inc. is offering free replacements of the displays on nine popular laptop PC models, responding to customers who created a Web site to complain that some LCD screens developed a one pixel-wide vertical line.

"Dell shipped faulty LCD screens in 2005 and is giving customers grief about replacing the screens. It's time to bring attention to the issue," according to the site, Dellverticalline.com. "Managers at Dell need to be made aware of the issue so that they can stop treating their loyal customers like dirt and replace the screens in a timely fashion."

Unless a faulty screen is replaced, it can develop a permanent vertical line one pixel wide, either stuck on a single color or reflecting the color displayed behind it, said the Web site.

Dell first responded to the issue in April, offering to replace certain 17-in. displays on Inspiron 9200, Inspiron 9300 and XPS Gen 2 notebooks sold between November 2004 and October 2006.

Yesterday, Dell expanded its replacement program to include six more models -- Inspiron 6000 and 8600, Latitude D800 and D810, and Precision Mobile Workstation M60 and M70 notebooks sold between December 2004 and December 2006. Some of those models use a faulty component that can generate the line over time, according to a posting on Dell's corporate blog by Lionel Menchaca, Dell's digital media manager.

Dell will now replace any LCD screen affected by this issue within three years of purchase, or will refund customers who were forced to pay for their own replacements, Menchaca said. Dell did not respond to requests for comment about the size of the program, or say whether the manufacturer of the faulty component would help pay for it.

I exciting and sad. I always wanted to go forward but now I looking for returning back to the old day. ;0

Yesterday, I went to MacD with my fren. At about 7pm, we reached there. Our purpose is to do revision for upcoming exam that is 2 days away. We had the coupon and got our set of meal. It was delicious but very full. Then, I ordered a cup of tea as it would able to give my stomach a relieve and also it wouldn't affect my sleeping unlike coffeee.. :)

We sat there until 10.45pm then left but as for me i settled down there until 1 in the midnight and refilled couple of tea. haha...

I got back home around 2am after feeded the car with fuel as well as injected air into its hand and leg. keke... :)

Ok la... is around 2.15am now, 2molo i still had to wake up at about 7am to get off to the college. haha... Dunno what to write already!! STOP HERE la..

Time passes like light!

I still remember when I was 18 years old. I was long for 21 years old. However, when dream came true and I'm not hoping! Life is really out of control. Indeed it isn't! I thought with the "KEY" I will be different, no it isn't!

Age before the 21, I thought everything should be get on track and on the road but it doesn't. It turns out to be better but not good enough. Something is still missing, something is still underperforming and something is not happen yet! I'm long for it, but what???

Anyway, I am very enjoyed the night of the celebration of my 21's birthday at YY house! Many of my friends came and organize it. If wouldn't had them, is just another day for me! Thank You for all my friends who still preserves me in ur heart! Especially for a friend who still remember what I told before when I was 18 years old of what I long for for my 21's birthday. Even though is not really success but still made it for 99%. I wish you all well and happy-est!!

Dunno why I like it very much. This might because I lost the previous one that had been stolen. I just so missed the one that i used to had. :(
But this one is another member which belongs to its family. I dun wan to lose it again.. :)

Being in the box is just useless unless u wan to be as decoration and kept it for some reason. Is not goin to work if the mouse couldn't break itself out the box.

[Exam] - Pass is not enough

To pass a module is almost not a problem if u had study. To fail a module is a tragedy.

Today I'm heading for exam for the CSA(Computer System Architecture) then following by IA(Internet Application) by tomorrow.

With all the unprepared, everything seems to be in the struggle when actually u can go with confidence and aiming for higher expectation but as for now I would just need to get above a pass which mean a credit to secure my PTPTN loan so that finacially will be more secure and lighten my parent burden where they already bought me a new laptop which the previous one has been stolen. In the midst of difficuties, I very thankful that the new laptop could just arrieved in time a week before exam. Otherwise, I guess I could fail all subjects or few.

When things is turning upside down, it could turn ur entire plan to be halt or change to an entire different way to approach to a finish line. I felt that is just as a race, when things isn't goes well of what u had in ur plan or stragety, u might just end up behind the race.

Ok la... 8.38am now, I should go prepare myself now to go to collge la. Wish me all the best la!!! Wakaka...

Nightmare or just Coincidence?

Journal...
It was a fine and fresh day of the week. Everything seem normal and usual. I woke up in the morning I took my bath then went to college for test!

When everything seem too usual and normal. Never expected I being chosen the one. Maybe I shouldn't put at this way rather I should say that I wasn't take precoution of it or maybe not aware of it.

It seem so ordinary to me but not for my friend. For 12 years she's been staying in the house, she fell while climbing the staircase yesterday. This morning as she wanted to take her lunch so she went to the kitchen. she saw a lizard and she was very afraid of it. As usual, she try to scare it away. However this lizard seem to be ordinary but not ordinary of it action. This lizard have no sign of afraidness rather it starring and looking at her. She gave up and came to college. While as she was driving to college half way on the road the windscreen of the car cracked partially automatically. After that, she reached college then we went for lunch.

After lunch, we went to my fren house for studying. From Puchong to Belakong is a long distance drive. We reached there and opened the booth of the car. As she is opening the booth I was looking and waiting to took the stuffs.

SHOCKING MOMENT...happenED!

She start to asked me Q.! Did u put it in WK car? I replied NO! I saw the book is there and I was clearly identified and comfirmed that I put it there but it was EMPTY now!
We to called up my fren where they are entering the house. They came out and find it out what has goin on. We are all shocked!

The first thing in our mind is... Thief! The laptops is been stole! We check everywhere then we came to this key hole of the booth. Is been cracked! Although u put ur key into it but it stuck!
We couldn't do anything but the first things we do is went to Police Station to make a report for prove and protection for us if something happend in the future.

Well, everyone seem to be calm and able to chit-chat and making fun. Both of us felt so sad about the incident. The sadness thing is that we lost the most important and expensive laptop. None other than what we can do, we try to calm ourself down hope that is feeling of sadness may be gone when time soon and also hope that our parent will not react to intensively of the incident that we lost of the laptop.

Thanks God that is always here with me. He reminds me that whatever that is happened He is always there and not left me. When u see two foots print in the sand is doesn't mean you are walking alone rather He is carrying you because the two foots print is belongs to Him.

I pray that God will protect us. I also pray that the thieves in this country will stop stealing and find the truth and only way to eternity from only the God.

Woke up in the morning about 9am, I was so tiring b'coz yes2day i went back home around 2 something. :) Well, is a good day. I shall go back to hometown. Although there are laziness in me but still I looking forward to it. Took my breakfast, hanging around in the house and packed things into the car. :) I drove all the way back to hometown.
While on the way home, I dropped down in Bidor where I needed to pick up my aunty and a kid as well. We stay for awhile then only begin our journey back to hometown again. :)
We reached hometown about 3pm. It was tire but was excited and happy. Nothing was special the day and night I went to bed at nite.. kaka~~sound funny.. ;)

It was morning and a new day. As I woke up it was very cold. It always been cold there in the morning. While when i look at my mobile phone is been alredy very late. The time is 10am++. I need to clean the floor and clean the windows. After that, I took my bath and go for a nap. As I washing my face, I grandfather fell on the floor. The bowl which he was holding was broken into pieces as he press on it while falling down. The cut was quiet deep and serious, blood came out profusely. We bought him to the clinic later on. The doctor sew his wound and gave some medicine so that the wound can heal faster. After taken my dinner I took a rest then turned on my laptop and do my assignment. Then go sleep .. ~~:(

NeW! New! I bought 2 NeW stuffs at Parkson, OUG. Wah... The stuffs there are really cheap after discount. I bought 2 of these. One is cold shirt and another one is document bag. :)

13/7/2006 - Thursday (Lao Po NEW! Laptop[Duo Core])
At the night at about 7pm, I went to fetch my lao po, and dad, then only we went to Kepong to collect the NEW! Laptop from my lao po's mum. Later on, mum take us to a place yam cha and also at the same time we called up a fren(lao po's fren who just came b from England) to mamak for yam cha. The first look at her is u wonldn't believe she is localised b'coz she has a fairly skin. :)

14/7/2006 - Friday (Mid Valley)
As usual we did. We went for a lunch after class me and another lao po went to Mid Valley to meet a fren who just came back from England. We met her near the Cinema and decided to have a drink at MacD. We ordered a Tea Time Combo and sat there until 5pm then only we left for home. At the night time, I went to my fren house to install some necessary program and patches for the Window to keep it safe from attacks. :) I left the house at about 12am. :)

20/7/2006 - Thursday (Genting for lunch)

On Thursday right after the class when we were thinking of goin where to lunch~~~ Sobody yell GENTING!!! Muhaha~~ Of coz the driver(Y.Yee) took the challege and go to Genting! Just for LUNCH!!! We have 3 hours break before the next class which mean we have enough time to come back from GENTING!!! WoW.. Incredible... We just made it!! haha~~ Take a look at the combine pictures.!

21/7/2006 - Friday (Puchong-KL-Puchong)
Hehe~~ I went to Cheras to met my lao po and mum and they took me around the KL and now I knew where is the "tapak" of "AhGua(Shemale)" located in KL. After yam cha at the mamak in KL(near KLCC) we moved on to Puchong to met another group of frens then only we went back to Cheras and I took my car and everybody left from there. :)
Muhahaa~~

College - Week 3

Is been a very tiring and enjoyable week 3 in college. Time table is super the unbalance and pack especially on the Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

On Tuesday, the class starts from 10am-5pm in between there is 105 minutes to rest. I think most of the time, I won't be staying in the college instead I will go out with them to have lunch and other activities. :)

On Wednesday, the starts at 8am-3pm, in b/w also has 105 minutes.... as for today I will be staying in college in do "MY" assignment. The deadline for the assignmnet will be on the 14 of July. But as for me, I will need to finish by Today which is 12/7/2006.

As for Thursday, is 2molo... I dunno la.. I can't predict future ... muhahaha~~~ 2molo schedule will be from 8am to 5pm again but this time the break time is 3++ hours.

How about u guys...?? You guys also having tight schedule like me...??? YOU BUSY PEOPLE !!!!!!!!!

New Level, New Semester, & New Begin...

Just like a split second when I flash back my memory and coming back to reality is all over. Everything was over. Everything which needs to be accomplish already accomplished and those are not accomplish has already over and no way back to the past and accomplish it.

We all made mistake and make decision which is either good or bad. Sometimes a bad decision might be worse u ever had but sometimes is not the way u think. There are bad decision lead to good time and will reward u with fullfillment. A good decision is always what we think is accomplished but I dun think so... b'coz we all can't guaranteed or give 100% for sure. We human always made mistake and it always shaken our confidence.

For this new level, new semester and new begin... I really dun have any objective. I just wanna to get the stuffs done and let see what plan has for me. :)

Anyway, my new semester of the level begin on June 25 on Monday. Yeah~~ Gonna to love the start... :)
